Petit vignoble, situé tout près de Libourne sur la rive droite de la Dordogne, représentant moins de 800 hectares, et jouxtant celui de Saint Emilion, il n’en est pas moins réputé pour produire de très grands vins alliant le côté délicat et séveux des Saint-Emilion avec la puissance des vins du Médoc.

Domaine :

Petrus est incontestablement le plus mythique des vins de Pomerol et l’un des vins rouges les plus convoités et les plus chers au monde avec une production avoisinant les 30 000 bouteilles par an. Ce vignoble d’exception, de 11,4 hectares, doit une grande partie de sa renommée à son ancienne propriétaire Mme Labat qui l’a fait partager aux convives du mariage de la Reine d’Angleterre et à Jean-Pierre Moueix qui en a fait le vin préféré de la famille Kennedy. Outre son incroyable capacité de garde, Petrus reste, malgré une concurrence de plus en plus rude, un nectar incomparable exprimant à merveille la spécificité de son terroir et la quintessence du Merlot.

Un vin mythique sur un millésime de légende. Noté à 9 reprises 100 points par le fameux critique Robert Parker, Petrus représente le « sacré » du vin français pour beaucoup. Ce millésime 2010 livre un nez prodigieusement complexe, fruits noirs et épices s’entremêlent subtilement. La bouche est une extraordinaire alliance entre soyeux et richesse. Tout est tellement juste. Un « Graal » à la longévité quasi éternelle.
