DOMAINE DE TREVALLON 2011, 75 CL
A few steps from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, on the northern slope of the Alpilles is the Domaine de Trévallon, in the town of Saint-Etienne-du-Grès. Here, limestone outcrops everywhere... It is omnipresent and shapes this rough and dry land. Around the old farmhouse, the vineyard extends in this living and preserved nature on 17 hectares.
On the nose it’s super complex with an explosion of garrigue composed by dry rosemary, wild thyme, wild oregano and dry sage, a floral note of dry violet, a hint of Brett follows with saddle leather and barnyard although doesn’t bother but actually adds complexity.
