Château Lalande-Borie was almost entirely created in 1970, with the purchase from a Troisième Cru Classé, of a 30 hectare parcel of land in the Saint-Julien appellation. With a slightly pronounced relief, allowing excellent drainage, the soil is composed of large, deep gravel. The name `` Lalande-Borie '' is taken from the cadastral name of the plot and from the name of a large family of winegrowers, established in the Médoc for over a century The vinification and aging of Lalande-Borie wines are carried out with the same technique, the same care and the same spirit as those of the other estates of the Borie family. Thus, the cellars and the vat room, modern, allow an optimal vinification. Château Lalande-Borie has acquired a very good reputation in a few years.
