Gevrey-Chambertin is a legendary wine, with a deep, radiant robe. On the nose this wine has aromas of black and red fruits, then floral notes second. On the palate, this wine is dense, with dense tannins. The 1er Cru Saint-Jacques draws from its terroir a specificity and an aromatic complexity that the others do not have.
A Very stylish and ultra fresh nose offers up classy if restrained red pinot fruit liberally laced with notes of stone and rose petal, both of which can be found on the detailed, pure and lacy middle weight flavors that are complex, focused, mouth coating, crisp and solidly persistent.
